Services · Hedges and trees
Cedar and laurel hedges grow fast in this climate, and once they get away from you they're a big job. Tell us the length, height and type and we'll match you with crews who do hedge and pruning work.
Warning signs
Due for its regular trim.
Needs a careful cutback over one or two seasons.
Anything touching the roof, power lines or blocking sightlines needs prompt attention.
Local conditions
The same mild, wet weather that keeps lawns green makes hedges grow quickly. A cedar hedge left for two or three seasons can gain a lot of height and width, and cutting back hard into old wood can leave brown patches that never regrow.
Regular trims are cheaper and healthier than rescue jobs. For large trees, removals or anything near power lines, you need a certified arborist.
Costs
| Job | Typical range | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Hedge trim, 50 ft cedar | $300 – $900 | Height, how overgrown, debris haul-away |
| Hard cutback, 50 ft overgrown hedge | $900 – $2,500 | Height reduction, access, disposal |
